Ecuador’s Pricey Lobbying Contracts

A series of articles published during June and July, 2014, revealed that the Government of Ecuador has been retaining a New York based public relations firm named MCSquared. However, MCSquared did not register as a foreign agent with the Department of Justice until July 2014, over a year after the day when the contract started. What is the Ecuadorian Government hiding behind this contract? What can tens of millions of dollars buy Ecuador's President in the Empire?



An article published on May 30th by Bloomberg Businessweek Senior Writer Paul Barret, revealed that the Government of Ecuador has been retaining a New York based public relations firm named MCSquared to promote events against Chevron. Later on, Lachlan Markay from the Washington Free Beacon discovered that MCSquared did not register as a foreign agent with the Department of Justice. It was not until the beginning of July, over a year after the day when the contract started, that the firm complete the filing with the DOJ.
